Organizational Committee
Serves as personnel, finance and administrative committee for the organization. Acts on urgent policy questions and fiscal and administrative matters between meetings of the Board, making reports of its actions and recommendations at meetings of the Full Board.
Development Committee
The Development Committee runs face-to-face solicitation and large donor cultivation, as well as more general fund-raising activities. It organizes the annual fund drive each Spring, recruiting the fund drive’s leaders and works to meet the financial needs of the organization.
Membership Committee
Subcommittee of the Development Committee, it works to recruit and cultivate new members and plan activities for grassroots participation and education, such as the 2008 Educational Forum Series.
Issues Committee:
All the below committees, comprised of Board members, advisory Council members and general membership representatives, meet regularly to concentrate on concerns in a particular area.
The work of each committee often includes:
• Identifying problem areas in state government related to government process, developing research and gathering information to identify the central issues, apparent problems and possible solutions.
• Monitoring relevant government arm responsible for administering or securing compliance with laws on the books.
• Developing expertise around content and process in their areas of law, and may draft or review legislation and develop strategies to lobby for passage.
Education Committee:
Identifies and assists in the coordination and delivery of areas specific to Elder Care Management to include experts in any particular field of expertise.
Assists in the coordination and delivery of Annual International Conferences presented by the IAECM.
Assists in securing continuing education approvals for the various disciplines/certifications for all educational opportunities delivered by the IAECM.
